All photovoltaic installations connected to the electricity grid must comply with a legalization process. This allows agencies to control who pours solar energy into the grid.

There are different types of facilities and the required documents may vary. In this article, we are going to focus on the steps to legalize a landfill facility with surplus compensation.

Documents to legalize a photovoltaic installation

• Installation system design

It is a proposal for a photovoltaic installation by the installation company. This document is only shared between those parties and, makes it possible to reach an agreement and make the project viable.

This document presents different characteristics of the installation, such as the total production generated by the plates and the savings it will entail each month.

• Technical report of the photovoltaic system

The installation company makes a memory of the photovoltaic system, in which it expresses the design of the assembly. In this document all aspects and characteristics of the self-consumption installation are precisely defined.

The report is delivered to the corresponding city council with the objective of informing in detail about the future work.

• Building license

It is one of the basic permissions to be able to install solar panels. Normally, the building license It is processed at the town hall of your municipality, since these regulations are subject to each location.
